About Sarah

Hi, I’m Sarah, owner of Lilly’s Bespoke Boarding and the person behind Home Dog Boarding Help.

Before moving into home boarding, I spent many years in the NHS, first in clinical roles and later in commissioning and primary care, with extensive experience in policy writing, procedures, governance, evidence and compliance. I’ve also worked as a tutor and therapist.

But there’s a much more personal story behind these resources.

This is the system I painstakingly built while distracting myself from the loss of Lilly, our much-loved Cavalier.

Lilly was the inspiration for Lilly’s Bespoke Boarding, and everything I built around the business became, in its own way, a tribute to our Lillypup. The photo here was taken long before the boarding business began, when she was still very much my little anchor.

In those early weeks I poured myself into researching the licensing requirements, thinking through every eventuality and building the policies, procedures, forms and operating manual that would become the backbone of the business.

And it didn’t stop once the licence was granted. Over the time I’ve been running Lilly’s, the system has been used, tested, tweaked, developed and fine-tuned in real life. Things have been added when experience showed they were needed, processes have been improved, and the links between the paperwork and the day-to-day running of the business have become tighter and clearer.

What you’re getting now is the honed version of that system, not something written purely to sell as a template pack, but the working framework I developed for my own licensed home boarding business and continue to use in practice.

It all began with Lillypup. This is part of her legacy.
